2010 | The company employs 27 employees and the export share of machinery is 75%. |
2000 | Since that time manufacture of grinding and deburring machines for aluminium. |
1997 | Friedrich von Schumann takes over the management and henceforth concentration on grinding technology. |
1975 | During this period probably stopping the production of standard machinery. |
1966 | Lothar and Irmgard von Schumann take over management. The product range is expanded and beside the standard machines they are increasingly producing special machines. The main focus now was set on sanding and brushing machines. |
1965 | The first sanding machine leaves the factory |
1958 | Fritz von Schumann died. His wife works to maintain the company. |
1934 | The successor Fritz von Schumann and his sister take over management. Because of the electricity that was available everywhere now, it wasn't efficient to produce mills any longer. In the next years the focus was set on woodworking machinery, so the comany was reorganized. |
1930s | Starting the production of woodworking machinery (especially standard machines) such as thickness planing machines, planers, spindle moulders and band saws. |
1909 | Friedrich von Schumann takes over management. |
1861 | Founded by Jacob Loewer as forge and agricultural machinery construction company. With the beginning of the 20th century the son-in-law Friedrich Schumann expanded the facilities by an iron foundry. |
