DEWALT

DeWALT

The tool brand name DeWALT goes back to the US-American Raymond Dewalt and the year 1923. Dewalt is the inventor of the radial arm saw. Black & Decker took over the DeWALT brand in 1960. In the early 1990s, Black & Decker expanded its professional power tools business to include the DeWALT brand. In 1994, the German manufacturer ELU was taken over. Initially, power tools continued to be produced and sold under both brand names. It was not until 2001 that the Elu brand was completely replaced by DeWALT.
